Having studied drawing and painting at university, I returned to these mediums as my boys began to grow up but also added textile arts. In my fabric work, I am drawn to colours, textures and patterns.
Perhaps my interest in textiles is a response to living in a household full of boys, but I have always enjoyed playing with fabrics and remember visiting quilt shows with my mother as a little girl. A great aunt of mine made her living as a seamstress.
My photography backround is a result of my experiences at university and later working for my father who was a professional photographer. I really enjoy the creative side of digital photography as it relates to composition and pattern.
I am member of the Nepean Fine Arts League in Ottawa and the Ottawa Mixed Media Artists.
